Playground Mulch
Our playground chips are certified and compliant with the International Play Equipment Manufacturer’s Association standards. They provide a healthy, sustainable choice for playgrounds, dog parks, walking paths, and other public spaces with heavy foot traffic.
Davey’s locally produced organic aged playground mulch consists of bark leaves and wood generated from trees in the Minneapolis and St. Paul areas. It provides optimal biological benefits to trees, shrubs, and other valuable landscape features.

Wood Grinding Services
Commercial landscapers and municipalities are often left with large volumes of wood and other green materials, especially after a large storm event.
Our on-site wood grinding services can help large-scale operations with their debris by recycling excess green materials into valuable premium mulch. We offer turnkey services, including finding and setting up a site to grind your debris with our own equipment, performing the grinding services, and cleaning up after the operation.

Mobile Services
Our premiere wood grinding services aren’t restricted to the Twin Cities area. We offer our first-rate wood grinding services to any state in the U.S.
Our cradle-to-grave mobile grinding services can help local tree care companies, municipalities, and commercial landscape companies eliminate large amounts of tree and green debris to create high-quality organic mulch.

Biomass
Biomass is a renewable energy source that burns organic material to generate heat, electricity, and transportation fuel. As part of our values, Davey partners with local energy providers to bring organic materials that can fuel their renewable energy efforts.
We use ash trees that have been removed because of emerald ash borer infestation to create carbon-neutral, renewable energy from excess materials. This helps our local energy providers boost their sustainability efforts while continuing to provide important utilities to their clients.
