Prospect Park Alliance
Davey Resource Group offered a streamlined solution for the Prospect Park Alliance in NYC, partnering with a land surveying firm to provide six pre-construction tree inventories.
Project Narrative
Davey Resource Group, Inc. (DRG) was awarded six pre-construction tree inventories for capital projects overseen by the Prospect Park Alliance in Brooklyn, New York. The scope of work included identifying and tagging trees within the limits of disturbance, assessing the trees, and making maintenance recommendations for each of the trees collected. Additionally, the DRG team collaborated with urban forestry specialists at subsidiary Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. to develop tree preservation plans for the project site.
Creating A Streamlined Process
For the first five projects, DRG worked with a land surveying contractor hired by the client. In order to provide a smoother turnkey service on the final project, DRG partnered with a land surveying firm, who served as a sub-contractor and provided both services for the client as a single package. This helped streamline the process for the client and eliminated the need for a separate bidding process for the land surveying tasks. As a result, this project was completed on time and within budget.
