DRG provided construction stage engineering services in association with the removal and retrofitting of IVEX Dam in Chagrin Falls, OH.

Up For The Challenge

TGC Engineering (now DRG Engineering) was contracted by Marks Construction, Inc., to provide construction stage engineering services in association with the removal and retrofit of IVEX Dam in Chagrin Falls, OH. Marks Construction retrofitted the existing IVEX Dam to dewater the dam pool by core drilling large holes to dewater in the dam pool by approximately six feet. A second phase of the project removed a large portion of the dam and included stream restoration in the upstream area through the decommissioned dam pool.

A topographic survey, a geomorphic survey, and a construction and monitoring survey were also performed for the project.
