Denver Tech Center
Davey Resource Group inventoried 5,000 trees on the Denver Tech Center campus to provide data that helped create a 10-year maintenance cycle plan.
Project Narrative
Davey Resource Group, Inc. (DRG) was contracted by Shea Properties to conduct a tree inventory and management plan on the full public rights-of-way and parks within the Denver Tech Center (DTC)—an upscale business park in SE Denver, which houses a number of large companies, such as Oracle and Zoom.
Establishing A Plan
After the initially contracted 4,000 trees, DRG exceeded client expectations by allowing additional inventory on a per-tree basis, collecting site and species data, including size, condition, defect, and maintenance needs. After inventorying a total of 5,000 trees, DRG wrote a management plan that provided the client guidance and budgetary estimates for a 10-year maintenance cycle.
Throughout the project, DRG worked in close communication with the client to regularly add to the inventory, whether for new parks to collect or new plantings to inventory.
