Crown Hill Cemetery
Davey Resource Group helped Crown Hill Cemetery rectify tree assessment concerns based on tree inventory data.
Project Narrative
The Crown Hill Heritage Foundation contracted Davey Resource Group, Inc. (DRG) to conduct a GIS-based inventory of trees and stumps within the Crown Hill Cemetery property. The project area consisted of five locations, including a non-wooded area and four wooded areas. The inventory located more than 11,000 sites. Data recorded consisted of location, section number, tag number, species, genus, family, tree size, condition and observation, priority maintenance, risk and defect, and other tree-specific needs, such as clearance and retrenchment pruning.
Using Data To Address Concerns
DRG delivered Crown Hill’s inventory data in TreeKeeper® and as ESRI® shapefiles and an Excel spreadsheet. Crown Hill will carry a TreeKeeper® subscription for an additional three years.
DRG exceeded expectations when the client voiced some tree assessment concerns. DRG not only rectified those concerns but also revisited other potential concerns based on those ones.
