Davey’s adaptable and diverse professionals constructed two playgrounds at two apartment complexes in the Chesapeake, VA area.

For apartment complexes, being able to provide a full breadth of amenities showcases their commitment to their residents’ happiness. From basic necessities like access to laundry and trash services to more luxurious niceties like pools and parks, apartment management companies are capable of building communities that welcome all types of families.

SPM manages apartment communities throughout the Southeastern U.S. In the Chesapeake, VA area, Fenwyck Manor and Centerville Manor are two complexes that offer a variety of floor plans for rent, along with high-end, luxury amenities. SPM wanted to add to their list of amenities for both communities, and called on their existing relationship with Davey to achieve their goals.

All Work And No Play For New Amenities

Davey has been providing comprehensive grounds maintenance services at Fenwyck Manor and Centerville Manor since 2020. Based on Davey’s expertise performing grounds care services such as mowing and tending to flower beds, SPM asked Davey to build playgrounds on each property from the ground up in 2023 and 2024.

At both locations, Davey crews cleared the spaces designated for playground construction, built retaining walls, and installed mulch. Crews also assembled the playground equipment and appropriately anchored them to the ground for stability.

Crews took around 5 days to clear the space and assemble the playground equipment. The area is now included in Davey’s weekly ground maintenance services..
