Oxford Community Schools are located in the rolling hills of northern Oakland County, MI, reaching into five townships and two villages. As one of the largest districts in southeastern lower Michigan, the school district includes one early learning school, five elementary schools, one middle school, a high school with an early college pathway, two alternative schools, and one virtual academy. Oxford Community Schools has a strong tradition of athletics, offering 89 teams that compete in 28 varsity sports for boys and girls in grades 6-12. The athletics department is committed to teaching sportsmanship, perseverance, self-confidence, discipline, positivity, and more.
Oxford Community Schools’ commitment to a high-quality athletic program is reflected in the state of their sports fields. Since 2021, Davey has been maintaining athletic fields for their elementary, middle, and high schools, including soccer, baseball, football, lacrosse, and track fields.
A Homerun For Sports Turf Maintenance
Davey has a full staff dedicated to maintaining Oxford Community Schools’ athletic fields and uses a garage on-site to house equipment. Crews mow and fertilize turf, maintain the irrigation systems, perform aerification and top dressing services, as well as all types of sports field painting and ball field prep and repair. Crews also work with local Davey offices to fertilize the trees around the field.
Davey’s crews have also helped with synthetic turf repair and maintenance, running track repair, along with other specialized services such as setting up and tearing down track hurdles, goals, and other field equipment.
