Henry Ford Village
Davey crews maintain nearly 14 acres of turf, trees, shrubs, an irrigation system, and three dozen planters for a retirement community home to more than 1,200 people to keep their surroundings vibrant and full of life.
Davey commercial grounds maintenance has provided grounds care at Henry Ford Village, an Erickson Retirement Community in Dearborn, Mich. This 35-acre, campus-style retirement community is located adjacent to the birthplace of Henry Ford, founder of the Ford Motor Company. The farmhouse in which he was born was moved nearby in1944 and replaced with a park, which we also maintain. More than 1,200 people reside at Henry Ford Village and enjoy the park-like grounds.
Landscape maintenance includes nearly 14 acres of turf, trees, the irrigation system, shrub beds, and 35 planters. Vibrant color is provided throughout the property with flowers such as daylilies, impatiens, azaleas, petunias, and salvia. Mums and pansies are planted in the fall to provide a seasonal color change. Numerous beds contain ornamental grasses and contrasting foliage, color, and texture.
