Abercrombie & Fitch Co.
Davey Tree’s long term partnership with Abercrombie & Fitch Co. provides unique outdoor landscapes for employees to enjoy, including manicured natural areas and scenic views.
Built-in 2002, the Abercrombie & Fitch Co. home office in New Albany, OH is home to working space for 1,500 employees working in a range of departments representing five renowned brands: Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie kids, Hollister, Gilly Hicks, and Social Tourist. Nestled in hundreds of acres of woodland, Abercrombie & Fitch Co. takes cues from rustic aesthetics to provide office space that balances productivity and the tranquility of natural areas.
Since 2011, Davey has helped Abercrombie & Fitch Co. maintain their corporate headquarters through grounds maintenance and landscaping services. Crews are on-site five days a week to mow turf, prune trees and shrubs, maintain ponds and natural areas, and remove litter. Davey experts also apply herbicides and pesticides and service the irrigation system as needed.
Abercrombie & Fitch Co.’s unique home office also requires equally unique services. Wood from fallen trees is gathered by Davey and used for firewood in the plentiful fireplaces around campus that offer associates a cozy, rustic atmosphere. Davey also lends a hand to support The Challenge, an annual fundraiser held by Abercrombie & Fitch Co. that results in millions of dollars donated by their affiliated partners. The Challenge brings thousands of people to Abercrombie & Fitch Co.'s home office for live music, food, drinks, and activities.
“We donate a good deal of labor for The Challenge; the crew is here during the event, and helping with clean up immediately after the event as well,” Bob Klein, Account Manager for Davey, says. “We’re working to put everything back together the way it was. The event happens on a Friday night, so it needs to look good by Monday morning when everyone gets back [to the office].”
During the winter, Davey crews perform snow and ice removal services on 1,640,000 square feet of pavement, including all parking lots and walkways on campus to stay in line with Abercrombie & Fitch Co.’s zero-tolerance safety policy.
