Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company is proud to announce the promotion of Anna Davis to senior vice president, human resources.
In her new position, Davis will continue building on her past successes as an operations support partner, identifying new programs to engage, support and enhance the experience of Davey’s current and future workforce.
“People are our biggest asset in our workforce, and Anna is a proven leader in managing this critical element of our business,” said Pat Covey, chairman, president and CEO of Davey Tree. “In her most recent role, Anna oversaw the implementation, promotion and management of Success Factors, as well as an incredible change in new employee benefit programs and support initiatives.”
In 2002, Davis began her Davey career as an employee records specialist. Since then, she has worked in or led every element of Davey’s human resources department. In 2018, she was named director of human resources administration and was promoted to vice president of human resources in 2021.
Davis earned a bachelor’s degree in business and organizational communications from the University of Akron and a master’s of business administration from Kent State University in 2008. She holds a Senior Certified Professional certification through the Society for Human Resource Management. She is also a past member of Davey’s President’s Council, a rotating team of managers who meet semiannually for management development and to share ideas to improve the company, serving from 2019 to 2023.
