Before joining Davey in 2018, McRae had 20 years of experience in railway vegetation management. He started with Davey as an account manager for Davey Canada’s Rail division where he worked to improve the safety of railroad crossings for trains and vehicles by leading a variety of vegetation management efforts.
McRae holds a Utility Arborist certification through Manitoba Conservation, a Utility Tree Trimmer certification from Olds College of Agriculture & Technology, a Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR) certification from Transport Canada and a Provincial Pesticide Applicator license through all Canadian provinces. McRae is also a member of various Canadian vegetation management organizations.
