As part of Davey Tree’s Swing for the Trees Program, the Guardians & Davey Tree will plant 124 trees – One tree per home run hit by the Guardians in 2023.
WHAT: The Cleveland Guardians & Davey Tree will plant 124 trees as part of Davey Tree’s Swing for the Trees Program. One tree will be planted for each home run hit by the Guardians during the 2023 season. Planting will start with a ceremonial tree planting at Kerriush Park – home of B Buzz, a Cleveland Guardians PlayBall! CLE supported baseball league.
Trees will be planted at the following locations on May 23:
- Kerriush Park
- Maple Heights
- Camp Cheerful
- Ohio Guidestone
- Orchard STEM School
- Friendship APL
- Cleveland Public Library – Rockport Branch
Additional tree planting will take place on different dates at José Ramírez Field, Tony Brush Park, Hattie Larlham and camp sites for Girl Scouts of North East Ohio.
