HOUSTON – Earlier this year, Houston landscapes took a big hit from the big freeze. While some plants are now showing signs of life, others are still looking pretty dead and brown. Local arborist Amaury Martinez shares what people should know about the zombie tree phenomenon, plus how we can prep for these never-ending summer storms.
“A zombie tree is basically a tree that’s been dead but doesn’t know it yet,” said Martinez. “It has safety and health issues that are not visible to the untrained eye.”
