Woodridge Park District staff and volunteers from Jefferson Junior High School Staff and Student Council and Davey Tree Expert Company planted 150 native trees at Jubilee Point Park on Arbor Day, Friday, April 26. Earlier this year, the Park District applied for and was awarded two grants to offset prioritized natural area enhancement work at Jubilee Point Park. The $3,000 Trees Forever and $2,000 Illinois Park District Habitat Improvement grants were used to purchase the trees for the park and Davey Tree donated mulch for the planting event.
